Review of The Death of Mr. Lazarescu (2005) by Robert H — 26 Nov 2011
People keep calling this film a dark comedy or darkly humorous or funny. I think these people are sick. If watching an old man try to get help in a broken down health system while he slowly dies only to fail time and time again is funny to you, you're one sick puppy.
This actually plays out more like a documentary. Almost as if a camera crew was following the old man around. Move over Sicko, Michael Moore doesn't have anything on this piece of almost "cinema verite" While a work of fiction, it clearly is something to watch and reflect upon.
How does your health care stack up?
