Review of The Dead Zone (1983) by Tatsuhito K — 11 Aug 2015
The Dead Zone is an excellent supernatural thriller. It's well-directed, well-acted, and very well-executed. My only issue with it is that the story feels a little choppy at times. It jumps from one time period to another without showing any card on screen.
But otherwise, this is a very suspenseful film that revolves around a tormented psychic, and Christopher Walken's performance makes this character empathetic. I had a lot of fun watching this film, and Cronenberg's direction is brilliant as always.
