Review of The Day the Earth Stood Still (2008) by Bennet G — 06 Sep 2010

I liked the message this movie had. Basically it said that the human race would detroy itself, but didn't know what to do to stop themselves. It think this is very true, but more than likely many people don't want to admit that.

As for the movie itself, it was ok. Keanu Reeves seemed very comfortable in his natural alien state. I don't normally like Jennifer Connelly, as she is very monotone and boring, and she was the same here.

The best actors in the film were John Cleese and Jaden Smith. They were the only ones to show any emotion or comic relief, which was so desperately needed here.
