Review of The Day the Earth Stood Still (1951) by Edgar C — 31 Dec 2012
Perhaps the notorious and classic sci-fi masterpiece that propelled a whole new branch of environmentalist messages in cinema. Greater than his overrated musicals, this is Wise's absolute masterpiece, changing the face and direction of the genre but still keeping that tenderly iconic status a character like Klaatu. Enduring.
98/100.
