Review of The Day of the Triffids (1963) by Final C — 04 Apr 2007
One of my favorite early childhood memories. triffids are almost as bad-ass as alligators. I had a dream I remade this with Ellen Page (aka Kitty Pryde) -- only in the dream she actually became a triffid 2/3 of the way through and commenced to nibble on people.
oh, she was also a cool translucent amber color and had buck-tooth fangs and was prone to melodrama, but that's a whole other story.
