Review of The Day of the Locust (1975) by Allison R — 17 Jul 2007
Parts of it were good (the evangelist scene, scenes with Tod and Harry, the last 40 minutes or so of the movie), but it was very slow to start and pretty underwhelming. The novel is much better (sorry to sound typical).
The story has a lot of potential to be a good movie though, with the right director.
