The best film I've ever seen about the ugliness of the 1930s hollywood underbelly. A brilliant character study that leads to a chaotic final act, and characters who are doomed by the seduction of the false glamour of hollywood.
If you hate hollywood and only want to see a film about WHY you hate hollywood, this is the one to go for. A long lost forgotten gem of the 70s.
