Review of The Day After (1983) by Gina M — 17 May 2007
Very chilling account of what life would be like after a nuclear holocaust. Let the graphic imagery of this movie be a warning to all countries about launching nuclear missiles. Inevitably it will happen of course! Leave it to the testosterone-driven United States to start a nuclear war!! Sorry, I am ranting a bit in this review!
But, watch this movie, and by the end you will feel very disturbed and terrified, and possibly a bit paranoid. The first hour or so of this movie (The time before the nuclear missile hit) was a snoozefest though, and the acting isn't that spectacular, but nevertheless, this movie does a masterful job of showing the atrocities of nuclear war. HEED THE WARNING!
