Review of The Day After (1983) by Richard C — 14 Oct 2010
Set during the soviet/us stand off and enough to put the willies up president ronald regan at the time to act acordinly as gossip goes, a film set in a kansas city after a nuclear attack, a set up, introducing charactors well, and a terrifying nuclear blast sequence terrifies, then the last hour showing the desperation to survive the vital period after attack, watching it some 27 years later, it still affects, and a film made during the period will always be more affective than any current films, shot for tv, it stands up well.
and goes well for me, with the similer british 80s effort, threads which terrified me greatly also.
