Review of The Darkest Minds (2018) by Angelica P — 16 Aug 2018

This movie was so amazing, it had incredible acting and had such a great story. Ruby and Liam's relationship was very different to other teen relationships i've seen in tv and film. It is a very special relationship.

All 4 characters are very important and I like how in the movie they all had a different power, it made them all unique in their own way. All the characters that I read in the book were exactly how I envisioned them on screen.

To me Liam was my favourite character, the way he was so trusting to Ruby was so great. Liam wanted to help everyone, he had a big heart, I think you don't get to see that in a lot of people on screen, especially guys.

The movie had a great message too, to not be afraid of your own power, about standing up for what you believe in. The whole cast is great and they are all so talented. Amandla Stenberg did a fantastic job in the movie as a lead, it is amazing that the movie had a strong female lead, we need to see that more in movies and tv shows.

This movie definitely did justice to the book and we need a sequel, it can't end like this.
