I've heard that The Dark Tower books are dense, complex and compelling, which is why it's interesting to me that the movie comes off as another generic YA novel adaptation. I felt like I was missing out on some details, and I've heard that fans of the book series were disappointed.
This movie isn't bad, but it isn't good, either. It lies somewhere in the middle-in limbo.
