Review of The Dark Knight Rises (2012) by Kyle C — 26 Jul 2015
Wow...what a wild ride this was, it had it's ups and downs, ins and outs, but in the end it does succeed. The 1st thing I noticed and I don't know if anyone else noticed at how little of screen time that Batman himself actually had, now for an almost 3 hour movie I don't think he had 30 minutes of screen time, now for me this wasn't a big deal because I don't think Christian Bale is all that great of an actor and he's a horrible Batman, but for a Batman movie, he should have had more time than that, but there was so much else going on that he wasn't really needed.
As for the rest, Selina Kyle and Bane were very good, although some things that Bane said were very hard to understand, but that's minor, Tom Hardy did a fantastic job at playing the sinister character.
The action was in full swing as well and the story was top notch. I guess this was the only way Nolan could end the series because he set the bar so high with The Dark Knight and didn't quite get back to that level but this is still a lot of fun, but about 30 minutes too long.
RECOMMENDED for Nolan fans, movie fans and summer blockbuster fans.
