Review of The Dark Knight Rises (2012) by Christopher H — 26 Nov 2018
Christian Bale stars a the caped crusader Batman when eight years on from the events of the Dark Knight, Batman has been taking the blame for all of the Murders that Harvey Dent committed and decides to leave Gotham City. But now there is a new group in the city The League of Shadows and a former member is none other than Bane whom is played by Tom Hardy who plans to continue the work that Ra's Al Ghul never finished. But with allies being far away, Batman teams up with jewel thief Selina Kyle A.K.A Catwoman who is played by Anne Hathaway and puts on the mask one last time to save the citizens of Gotham.
This epic finale in Nolan's trilogy is a fitting end to the trilogy with brilliant acting (Especially Tom Hardy's Bane) a great plot and an fantastic ending to the trilogy which was really quite emotional.
Christian Bale acting is this film is my favorite portrayal of the caped crusader that he has done in the three films that he has starred in because of the scene when he was inside the pit trying to escape because it just fantastically acted. Tom Hardy done an astounding performance of Bane which he should of got nominated for because he damaged his body when he done the role. His costume that he wore I didn't think was CGI because it looked so real. Gary Oldman performance in this film is probably his worst performance in the trilogy because he wasn't as good as he was in the other Dark Knight films. Anne Hathaway Performance of Catwoman is probably the best Catwoman ever performed by an actress because she performed it so brilliantly that she bought the Catwoman we have been waiting for to the big screen. Joseph Gordon-Levitt first performance in the trilogy showed us how Blake became Robin, Batman's Son.
My Problems with this movie is that it has a major plot hole in it because it doesn't show why Batman came back to Gotham City. When Bruce Wayne is in the pit after he had got his back broken by the notorious Bane I found that scene a little rushed because they should of shown him in the pit training longer instead of cramming it in to about a half an hour sequence.
The Ending to the Dark Knight Trilogy was really emotional and brilliantly brought Nolan's Batman Trilogy to a close.
Grade A+.
