Not even necessarily a comic book film. This movie takes the struggles a cities police officers and a vigilante are facing whilst taking the long road against the criminal underworld. However, the underworld is not going out without a fight, and the Joker appears.

With no ethical code and a ruthlessness to achieve his own agenda, the Joker is a force that must be stopped, but is more cunning that a thousand politicians caught in an vice. The Batman, although intelligent, is neither fast enough, nor evil enough to anticipate the Jokers moves, which costs him dearly, again and a again.
