Review of The Dark Knight (2008) by Shaun B — 26 Nov 2018
Christopher Nolan brings us the greatest movie in the history of filmmaking, Batman The Dark Knight and is my favourite film of all times. Christopher Nolan done a brilliant job with Batman Begins, but done a whole better job with this masterpiece. Heath Ledger plays the Academy Awards winner performance of the fiendish Joker who terrorizes the citizens of Gotham city. This is the best live action Joker performance that we have ever seen on the big screen.
The film's plot is with the help of allies Lt. Jim Gordon (Gary Oldman) and DA Harvey Dent (Aaron Eckhart), Batman (Christian Bale) has been able to keep a tight lid on crime in Gotham City. But when a vile young criminal calling himself the Joker (Heath Ledger) suddenly throws the town into chaos, the caped Crusader begins to tread a fine line between heroism and vigilantism. This two Academy Awards winner has brilliant acting, brilliant sound mixing/editing, brilliant visual effects and cinematography and astounding acting and the best score that I have ever seen in a movie that was done by Hans Zimmer. How Christopher handled the Joker was so brilliant and even the cast was afraid of him.
Heath Ledger acted like he was the real life Joker because he put so much hard work into this role. To make himself ready for the role he locked himself in a hotel room for a month. The scene when he blew up the hospital was real and he done it at the wrong time to make himself even more psychotic. In the interrogation scene Heath asked Christian if he could beat him up and he did which made this scene truly remembered by everyone. Heath Ledger hated using visual effects so some of the film wasn't CGI which made it much better.
Everything about this movie is done so well and is 'THE BEST COMIC BOOK MOVIE OF ALL TIMES'.
This is the best movie of the 2000s and is the best movie ever.
Grade X (Higher than A+).
