Utterly and completely perfect. Witty, creepy, cruel and clever, with a great central performance from Peter Cushing as the cold-hearted Dr Frankenstein, having his way with the help and performing blasphemous experiments on the dead - although I can't help but wonder what dizzying heights the film might have reached if it had been the other way round.
