Review of The Crush (1993) by Your Gay Boyfriend — 20 Dec 2012
Alicia Silverstone's strong, sexy, and crazy performance is the reason to see this above-thriller. This is one of those movies that if you see it right now, your going to say: "It's like watching a Lifetime Channel movie" and "Ohh I've seen it all before".
But back then in 1993, it wasn't like that, this movie was at least a little original sense now we see these kinds of movies everywhere. Cary Elwes does a fine job playing the guy who almost gets seduced by a young, crazy Silverstone.
The Crush is a good thriller, with great performances from its leads, a predictable story, good use of suspense, which makes it a good time, but most people would use the movie to be "formulaic" if they saw it in this year.
