Review of The Crucible (1996) by Deadly Night S — 21 Jul 2010
Though the film version of Arthur Miller's classic play about the Salem Witch hunt does slightly differ from the play it still manages to tell the audience the story well without over doing it. The actors were not actors in this film they were instead the characters they played as they all managed to portray their character in an extremely believable way with Daniel Day Lewis and Paul Scofield outshining every other cast member with amazing performances and I can gladly say that "The Crucible" is one of those rare films where you forget you are watching actors.
Overall though it may be a dissapointment for hardcore fans of the play "The Crucible" is a great film which helps us realise how small things can cause chaos.
