Review of The Crucible (1996) by Josh C — 11 Oct 2013
Way back in high school english we had to read the play and then as a treat we watched the movie version. I wasn't a fan of the play so I was biased against the movie; however, the movie did suprise me.
Day-Lewis' command of screen acting keeps this from being a bad movie. For me to go from hating the play to thinking the movie is average is a good sign. If you love the play, you would probably like this much more than I did and give it a higher rating.
