Review of The Crime of Padre Amaro (2002) by Kinohi N — 31 Mar 2008
A bit heavy-handed, script-wise, even though the theme of corruption in the Catholic Church (especially in rural areas) isn't without engaging narrative potential. Bernal was good here, and so was a lot of the supporting cast, but the movie as a whole is somewhat forgettable.
