Review of The Crime of Padre Amaro (2002) by Dela S — 23 Aug 2008

I had expected more of this movie after having read the very positive critiques. And this is a movie so harshly criticized by the church? I think that there are far more shocking ones. The actors have done a good job but in my opinion Gael García Bernal in his role as Padre Amaro isn't as convincing as in other movies like "Amores Perros" o "La Mala Educación".

And the course of the plot was more than foreseeable...
