Review of The Crazies (1973) by Jean-François L — 14 May 2006
Going into this movie I expected basically a copy of Romero's famous zombie movies, but it wasn't even close. I loved the fact that the main conflict wasn't between the sane and the "crazies" (as I expected) but more a conflict of the citizens of the town and the intruding army.
And the references to the Vietnam war were excellent. Like the lack of preparation of the army for their "invasion" and the revolt of the local population. Excellent movie.
