Review of The Crazies (1973) by Stephen J — 21 Dec 2017
It doesn't exactly hold up very well, but The Crazies does boast good acting, a great premise, a good script, and the strong direction of George A. Romero. Not all of the scares hold up, but there are a few good ones.
I'm not surprised the film bombed at the box office back in '73, but I'm also not surprised it gained such a strong cult following. It's not exactly up to modern standards, but by 70s standards this is a very good film.
