Review of The Crazies (1973) by Colin F — 24 Feb 2011
I was very impressed with the recent remake of this film so out of curiosity thought I would check this original version out. I thought it started off really good, but falls completely flat around three quarters of the way into it, it sort of runs out of steam which is a shame because the beginning sort of sets it up to be really good.
My other major gripe was the terrible ending and the completely and totally inappropriate song it ends on which belongs in lassie or something! Not terrible but could of been so much better, a rare case where the remake is actually better.
