Review of The Counterfeiters (2007) by Phillip J — 21 Aug 2008

I really wanted to see this movie and finally did. It was solid and powerful and very interesting, but fell short in not showing more of the careful way in which forged banknote plates, etching etc was done.

There were some powerful characterisations but I think that it would have been better if I could understand German properly rather than read subtitles. There were times when I was slightly puzzled by events on tehscreen.

Anyway, worth seeing but it is on limited release and just about to go off the big screen.
