Review of The Counterfeiters (2007) by Gabo L — 09 Jun 2009
This was just a solid film - and I'm not a huge fan of the holocaust genre. And it totally is a genre. It was a fresh story and extremely well acted. It's not too often that I yell at the TV while I watch a movie.
I felt like the ending wasn't as complete as it could have been and I wanted to see more of his post-camp life. Hats off to Karl Markovics - he gave a performance to rival Billy Bob Thorton's in The Man Who Wasn't There - using little words and incredibly effective facial expressions as communication.
