Review of The Counterfeiters (2007) by Nivin P — 13 Jul 2009
This is a really well made film. The story is about a group of Jewish men in a Nazi concentration camp that are set up to make counterfiet money to aid the war. This film shows the struggles and guilt these men had to endure just so they could survive.
If they do not help the Nazi's make the money they will be shot. The film is well acted by the entire cast. The film focus more on the character played by acted Karl Markovics. He is a counterfeiter before the war and his skills are used to make sure the money looks legit.
A well made film with a interesting story and characters. Not sure if this was based off real events. But is a film worth checking out for those who enjoyed Schindler's List.
