Review of The Counterfeiters (2007) by Andrei G — 17 Oct 2011
Before WWII Salamon Sorowitsch was a common criminal. During the war he is arrested and placed in a Nazis concentration camp where is skills as an expert counterfieter are put to use in supporting the Nazis war effort. The Nazis close to bankruptucy need to use the British Pound and American dollar to bankroll their war efforts.
The Counterfeiters is both amazing and interest. This is not a Hollywood holacost movie. Instead the movie is made from a German perspective - which makes the movie unique. The acting is great - Karl Marovics in particular stands out. Good movie that is worth watching.
