Review of The Counterfeiters (2007) by Art S — 07 May 2012
Solid if unexceptional film. The story is interesting and Markovics really good but the visual style annoyed me with an over-reliance on stylistic tics from recent American TV shows (post production generated hand-held shaky camera, sudden jerky zooms) and the narrative unfurls in an utterly pedestrian way.
Not a bad way to spend 90 minutes but nothing too memorable.
