One of the most stunning, shocking films I've ever seen. There are probably 5 (at most) films which have ever truly shocked me in any way, and this is the top of the list for me, for being SUCH a different film than it seemed presented to be.
A beautiful film, stunningly created in every possible aspect, this is also one of the best films of all time, with what may be the most haunting score ever composed, courtesy of the brilliant Michael Nyman.
I wish I could go into detail on all the thoughts I have on this film, and what makes it so bizarre, but to do that would spoil most of the truly spectacular ending. Just do yourself a favor and see this film any way you can.
