Review of The Company of Wolves (1984) by Sandra S — 16 Jun 2007
Probably one of the best movies I've seen in terms of creativity and vision. The underlying theme of a young girl maturing from childhood into womanhood told through a series of related vignettes. The atmosphere was incredible and the storyline compelling.
The use of stories within stories within a nightmare dream and the inclusion of archetypes disconcerting yet effective. A really neat film by the same director who did an equally powerful but very different film "The Crying Game.
