Rich, lush, atmospheric. Neil Jordan pulled out all the cinematic stops on this one, but all the gorgeous sets and costumes and cinematography never get in the way of a brilliant retelling of the Little Red Riding Hood tale.
The effects appear a bit dated in places, but are easily overlooked.
