Review of The Color Purple (1985) by Maha M — 22 Aug 2012
Based on its Pulitzer Prize winning novel, The Color Purple is a sentimental, melodramatic and strong film. It's carried on by its powerful performances by its cast (especially Whoopi Goldberg as Celie), a wonderful plot, the many emotional, but helpful messages and the importance of American History throughout the early to mid 1900s.
This movie directed by the astounding director Steven Spielberg, is definitely (and without a doubt) one of the greatest films of all time.
