Review of The Color Purple (1985) by Ethan P — 02 Dec 2015
My reaction to "The Color Purple" shows growth, disturbance, unforgiveness, and a lot of emotions involved. It puts me in the state of mind that I would have not survived the things that went on in the 1900's.
What caught my attention in the movie for example, was the relationship Whoopi Goldberg (Celie) and Danny Glover (Mister) had. The way that Whoopi Goldberg told the story made me feel as though I was in the movie myself.
One of the hardship scene in the movie was when Mister separated Celie and her older sister Nettie just because she did not want to serve him and or be his wife. I would recommend this movie to families and friends.
