The Color Purple is a very depressing movie. This movie was a very terrible story about how it wasn't just whites how were cruel to blacks but blacks could be cruel to blacks too. The story does give you the feeling that just because you're are apart from someone doesn't mean you can't still love them.
This story is very eye opening to the hardships people face in life but somehow manages to be slightly heartwarming. The Color Purple is a very depressing movie.
