Review of The Client (1994) by Dave L — 06 Jun 2011
The movie, based on the popular John Grisham novel, starts off incredibly promising. A boy witnesses a mob lawyer's suicide after the lawyer tells him where a certain senator's body is buried. Unfortunately, the plot grows more fantastical as it goes along.
The end is far too easy and one can detect some plot holes (why didn't the mob kill the kid sooner?). However, the performances are first class and really anchor this movie. Tommy Lee Jones, Susan Sarandon an Brad Renfro are especially fantastic.
