Review of The Client (1994) by Allen G — 16 Mar 2013
Pretty typical really but what makes it interesting is the air of intensity throughout, fuelled by the strong cast and the particularly enjoyable opening.
It's not too held-up in the courtroom and tries to include a bit more action that would be the norm but it's still nothing special really. It's trails off as the film progresses and clichés are met more and more but being that you should know to expect this when coming it, it's not a bad film.
The first half of the film was fairly strong for it's genre and if that had stayed the case then I'd rate it higher but there's no sense of originality here and as a result it becomes your, albeit quite good, run-of-the-mill movie. It met my expectations and kept me entertained for the most part but it isn't particularly memorable or note-worthy.
