Review of The Cider House Rules (1999) by Andrew G — 25 Jul 2010
The film has some brilliant performances. Michael Caine is incredible in this film, more than deserving of his Oscar. I loved the Cinematography and the morals of the film. The problem I had with it, which held it back slightly, was that it gets so caught up in Homer's love life, that it kind of loses focus of what it was trying to be, and then tries to balance the romance of Homer, with the morals and arguments for abortion.
