Review of The Cider House Rules (1999) by Tero H — 18 Oct 2012
One of the better movies I've seen, this drama takes place at the first half of the last century and stars great actors. It doesn't get boring at any point and has an interesting storyline.
I had bought this film on DVD once and had forgotten to watch it - now, I just happened to notice the DVD and decided to finally see what its about. It ended up one of the better dramas with Charlize Theron that I have seen.
The movie was a really positive surprise and managed to keep me interested despite that it has no so-called action scenes whatsoever. The story rolls on steadily and never gets tedious even though its not a short film. I don't usually watch dramas, but I liked this one a lot. It is balanced all-around.
