Review of The Cider House Rules (1999) by Scott R — 03 Jan 2014
I don't understand what is so great about it. It's sort of an aimless story that starts no where, gets no where, and ends no where. With all of the great movies of 1999, including Magnolia (my favorite movie of the decade), Being John Malkovich, and Man on the Moon, how on earth did this make it on the Oscar ballot? I mean, Michael caine isn't even that good in it, and I love Michael caine.
Thank God American beauty won.
