Emma Thompson, one of the finest actresses in films today, gives a bravura performance here to carry this movie. I found it to be an engaging, powerful, and cerebral adult drama that had some twists I didn't expect.
Also, Stanley Tucci gives his usual top notch performance as Thompson's husband Jack, and Jason Watkins is also excellent as her devoted law clerk Nigel.
