Great performances by the cast, however after 40 minutes the story becomes quite ridiculous. The story forgot the important element of the title, The "Children" Act. It failed to acknowledge Adam's change after been given a new lease in life and the relationship he tries to have with Thompson's character is completely unbelievable.
Such a shame.
