Review of The Cassandra Crossing (1976) by Keith K — 14 Jan 2010
Ahh Disaster Movies ,I maybe serious about films but my biggest Guilty pleasure is disaster movies be it Roland Emmerich and his natrual Disaster movies or King of Disaster Movies Irwin Allen.
This films comes from Carlo Ponti and has all the right elements that make Disater movies a good watch.
Richard Harris is the lead as a doctor on a train carrying a virus .
What follows are stock cliched characters and gun battles before the final rather brutal Train wreck.
Everything here is obvious from Burt Lancaster as the by the book army man to Lee Strasberg as the wise old Jew.
Sophia Loren is of course beautiful and you cant help enjoty yourself evem though you know you shouldnt.
