Review of The Cars That Ate Paris (1974) by Private U — 27 Jul 2008
This is a shuffling slow oddity of a movie. It was from a time when this sort of thing was acceptable but now we just expect more. More stuff has to happen in our movies. There is a little interesting story but this is explored too badly to make this movie worthwhile. Barely watchable due to its tragic pace. The acting is fine and the direction is good. One that could be remade very well indeed. Hopefully. Not worth watching but worth remaking. Luckily it is pretty brainless but interesting. Not as bad as people make out. Some cool ideas. Good luck.
In one word: Shuffling.
