Review of The Cars That Ate Paris (1974) by Mr N — 13 Jun 2007
Meh. Aussie director Peter Weir's debut film is well made but unfortunately it is let down by the script, which is almost plotless and half-arsed. It has a couple of solid performances and good scenes but the interesting aspects that it was trying to get across just didn't work.
Honestly I don't know if this was trying to be a horror, black comedy or a satire, either way it failed on all counts and it just made it seemed pretty pointless in the end.
