Review of The Candidate (1972) by Eric M — 21 Dec 2009
A liberal activist is persuaded to run for the Democratic party against the current, unbeatable, Republican Governor. He is told that it is a losing battle, so he can run however he pleases. However along the way, the original issues start to melt away, and Redford's character begins to lose scope of what matters to win the election.
Great acting, and a well-flowing story.
