Review of The Boys Are Back (2009) by Peter O — 17 Jan 2010
Shame to see a good (and handsome) actor in such a flat movie - Clive Owen just can't deliver in this, nothing whatsoever. He is a single parent coping with the sudden death of his wife, which makes core of the film.
During the entire movie the intensity or depth never changes, running just on the same level, never peaking. It's pure grief for 105 minutes combined with sentimental music.
