This movie qualifies as a tearjerker. Why it works is anyone's guess. Perhaps it's the great acting, or the realistic portrayal of the emotions of loss and fatherhood and brotherhood. However, for reasons I can't totally conceptualize, this movie totally works.

It takes a piece out of you, and is touching beyond 99% of tearjerkers. It's a movie for emotionally mature males. An emotional guy movie, if you will, and it's a real payoff if you're willing to be moved.
