Review of The Boy Next Door (2015) by Cade H — 23 Jan 2015
Predictable and cheesy are 2 good works to describe the majority of this thriller with the always good looking, Jennifer Lopez. There was nothing new or creative done in this film and every plot point, you could see from a mile away.
I was surprised however that it did have some very redeeming qualities and those were needed because otherwise it would have been a total bust. Some intense moments stood out and a fairly exciting final scene were fun to watch.
The one hot and steamy sex scene was good, but far to short. I never felt that sense of dread or fear that they wanted you to feel and when a movie in this genre can't achieve that, it can't be to highly rated in my book.
