Review of The Bourne Identity (2002) by Richard C — 07 Aug 2012
I just revisited this film tonight in preparation for the Bourne legacy and I'm happy I did. I forgot what a smart, well paced action flick this is with a sexy, strong performance from its star Matt Damon.
I remember going into this film initially my expectations weren't high I just didn't think Damon could pull off a movie like this. But he is just so bad ass and he plays the character with a strong willed vulnerability that just makes him so sexy.
Also to be noted is the solid performance from his co star Franka Potente as his love interest Marie. After all those 007 flicks you thought nothing new could be done with this genre but this may be a stronger film than anyone of those its smart, slick and extremely entertaining.
